The MLS (Major League Soccer) www.mlssoccer.com is hot right now. So many top European clubs chose to include at least one MLS team in their 2010-11 pre-season on their tour of the USA! This shows the MLS has gained stature. Whereas in the past, an European club might have chosen only the top superclub, LA Galaxy and the MLS all-stars, today FC Dallas, Philadelphia Union, LA Galaxy, San Jose Earthquakes, NY Red Bulls…. all get a match with a top club!

I’m glad Inter picked FC Dallas as one of their 3 pre-season games in the USA. I would have preferred one of the top 2 MLS clubs in the Western conference because they’re in top shape and their players will be in the MLS all-stars. Imagine Donovan v. Maicon, Buddle on a one-on-one with Julio Cesar, Milito v. gk Donovan ricketts… Exciting matchups missed.
